Is it wrong to lie to a friend if you know the truth will hurt them?

    i dont think its wrong to tell a lie to spare someones feelings but i guess it just depends on what your lieing about ask your self would you want to be lies to about what ever it is and that should be your answer

You tell the truth, but tell it in such a way as to not hurt someone's feelings, or avoid the exact question. For example, if asked if a dress is attractive and you think it's hideous, say something like the color is nice, the cut is good, the length is good, etc. As mother said, always find something positive and you can't go wrong.
