What is the best way to get free last minute international flights as young person without any prior credit history?

    I am not sure that your goal is very realistic. Companies are only giving away free flights to customers they think they can eventually generate enough profit to pay for the cost of the tickets. In addition, last minute flights are generally the most expensive, so if you did get a free ticket it'll be easier to reserve it in advance rather than at the last minute. That said, the main way to get completely free tickets is to sign up for credit cards that offer frequent flier miles as a sign up bonus. Once upon a time you could buy a Standby ticket by turning up at the airport and asking the airlines where you can go. I was advised to do this 11 years ago by a crew friend of my mother, I turned up at the airport and the airline informed me they didn't do it anymore! Airlines tend to carefully balance ticket availability now and sometimes overbook flights they know will have 'no shows'. So they don't tend to have much spare capacity and they prefer to take advantage of people who need to be on that flight at any cost. As for rewards: you need to have collected lots of miles before you can get a free flight (even then you have to pay taxes and fees).
