Barnes & nobles job question?

  • I called a barnes and nobles for a job ... I asked if they had positions open and they said they did .. so I am going to send in an application for a job there will i def. get the ...show more

  • Answer:

No. You wont automatically get a job because they have a position open. They will select the applicants that best fit their needs. You should increase your chances by attaching a resume showing that you did similar work before, and provide references to back it up. Prepare for an interview, and plan on answering questions about what you can do for them. Hope it helps...

Of course not. You have to apply first, then they need your ID and other things first, and you have to fill out a tax for. I've worked at one this year, and depending on which one you apply to, they'll probably take you since they always need people.

Certainly not. Most employers run background checks, they check your job history, and they do lots of things to get the best candidate. Barnes and Noble I am sure has LOTS of applications and yours is just one of the many. Work hard at it, follow up with them in about a week after applying and see if they are interested. By calling them, (but not annoyingly often) and inquiring you are showing the initiative and employers love it.

No, they will look at your experience, how much you expect to make, etc.
