What bass guitar should I buy?

Bass guitar- what kind is the best where would be a good place to buy one?

  My best advice is shop around pawn shops and try to find a nice used bass. Couple of reasons 1. If you like playing electric you have a decent bass that could last you a lifetime 2. If you don't like it you can sell it, and decent basses should hold their value fairly well. I personally LOVE Warwick basses (Rockbass and Warwick)but they are a bit pricey. I would suggest a Fender Precision, you should be able to find one used at a decent price and a "P Bass" is used in all different music styles from Punk, to Rock, to Jazz, to Funk. Whatever you do please, please do not get a Rogue Bass. My friend use to have one and I played it once and it was terrible. It felt like cardboard, the frets were raised so it got some fret buzz, and the neck was all warped even though it bought it new.
