Looking back to before you committed a crime, what are some key things (or resources) that, if they had been available to you, could have helped you to avoid the crime you committed?

Honestly, I can't think of much that would have prevented me from doing all the things I did. I'm sure there were things in my childhood that would have led to a different me if they were different. But I am only considering the events of my life after my personality and identity were set. You see, I never did the things I did for any reason other than the pleasure I got from it. One thing leads to another and over 20 years later those things led to where I am. I enjoyed the chase, the thrill of everything I did. I enjoyed the quick thinking and having no one to rely on except myself. I liked living fast and associating with the people I met. I have very few regrets, and if I had to do it over again I would likely do everything the same. Perhaps I would be even more aggresive.

It is an extremely complex phenomenon. Genetic make-up, social conditioning, parental influence, situational influences even brain chemistry all play significant role in criminal tendencies or total lack of it,  and the indisposition of a criminal depends on all these. So one of these or all these culminate in the ultimate act of criminality.
