  • Answer:

Very hard to get rid of bugs in an apartment, they'll come in from other apartments, no matter what you do. Try to keep your place as clean as possible, have no food left out, including fish or rabbit food, keep them in airtight containers. Pesticides can work but until your neighbors keep their apartments clean, you'll keep getting them. good Luck & God Bless!

cockroach bait? its in little black plastic thing so the pets cant eat it....i know cos i my dog used to always find them and chew on the outside but he couldnt get to the poison or use a cockroach spray.....spray it down the drains and stuff cos thats where they usually come from in my house it wont harm your pets as much as you think and it wil be alot better knowing that your house is clean and cockroach free

Id Spray more spray even though a bug man is coming. Id use bait or something. Also they might not only be coming in from the windows, but Sounds like to me Someone else has a pest problem in the apartment building.

If you live in NY, go to China Town and buy the Chinese chalk, there is also borric acid.

When the guy comes to spray, take your pets out of the apt so they aren't exposed to the spray-I would also cover the fish tank with a sheet or something. I believe that will minimize any negative effects of the spray on the animals. The answers that have said to put all food sources, including pet food in airtight containers is right.

for one i have heard that the wall plug in pest controls and the one for fresh air are the 2nd leading fire starters as they heat up inside and short out. So i never use them. I have all kinds of bugs and spiders that come in my basement and i spray ortho "bug b gone" and i only need to do this once every couple years it works great and safe to use if follow directions.

I don't have roaches but I did buy one of those electronic pests controllers. I heard they work for mice, spiders and ants among others. I don't have mice but we still do get spiders (which I am afraid of) so I don't now how well they would work on roaches.

Combat super bait is the best, but also your landlord should be exterminating on a regular basis.

I've heard that those things you plug in an outlet and it puts out a really high pitched tone works really well. I don't believe they're that expensive, and they should last a really long time.
