How to get rid of flies???

    This is like the 3rd question today I've answered about flies. It sounds like you have cluster flies. Cluster flies lay their eggs in the ground and then feed on earth worms. Once they are ready to fly they will find any kind of structure where they can "cluster". They typically like warm areas such as windows and ceilings. Try some fly tape. They'll eventually go away on their own. There's also these strips you can buy at Walmart that stick to your window. They are VERY sticky on one side and have just a thin strip of tape on the other. You stick it to your window where the flies tend to group and they stick to it. It's pretty gross but not as unsightly as fly tape. There's also fly bait you can place outside. You may be able to find some at a hardware store. Good Luck. I know they're a pain!

Figure out where the flies are coming from. Do you have pets whose cages need cleaning? Is there something dead under your house? How about a dog who might have had an accident somewhere in the house? We had this same problem a while back and it turns out we found a piece of rotten fruit that had fallen out of the garbage can and was under the sink. A fly found it and laid its eggs in the fruit. The eggs hatched and the fly larvae were eating the fruit, then growing into adult flies. Once we threw away the fruit, there was no place for the flies to reproduce. I also have to be diligent with cleaning my parrot's cages. If it gets too dirty and there is too much poop on the newspaper, flies will lay their eggs in the feces. Yuck! So if you get rid of the source of their egg laying, you'll get rid of the flies.

Make sure to seal all holes in windows and doors if it's possible for a flie to come into your house. Try not to leave your door open as many times. Hope it helps.

They have those fly traps you can get in the stores..That's about it and keep windows close and if open make sure screens dont have any holes in it..We have that problem here in Florida along with the love bugs.

set out a bowl of honey, they will be attracted to it, but will stick to it. Flies feed on dead things, be sure there is not something dead that they are hatching in.

if you don't have pets and can be gone for several hours try a bug bomb. worked for us in our garage.

Fill a clear plastic bag with water, toss a few pennies in the bottom, and hang it up where you want no flies. Works on our patio and in our kitchen. You see it lots down in the southern US.

set some lizards and frogs loose or put some borax mixed with sugar for those flies to eat.
