Why can't I get tv back to normal?

Our TV has just switched itself off and we cant get it to come back on.?

    it would cost more to repair than buy a new one with at least one year warranty cover. don't put yourself through the stress, time, and expense of trying to fix it. just remove it and get a new one. from someone who knows

There may be one logical reason,the plug might have came out the socket.Maybe,someone spilled something on it and they just don't want you to know.It's time to buy a new one.

Unplug and carefully remove the back. Look for a small red reset button and press. Be careful not to touch any exposed wires or connections, because capacitors store voltage, and can give you a nasty shock.

10 years is pushing it, .. in this heat its probably a soldered joint that has dried up and broke the circuit ... time for a new tele.

well sometimes electrical eqipment can just go off, try unplugging it and ;eaving it off for a bit, and see afterwards. the fuse might have blown, so you should check that. maybe it might be because the tv is 10 yesr old, it might have just given up

Your tv had what is called "soccer overload" It's about as sick of the s**hit as I am.
