What degree is the most helpful in computer programming?

What masters program would be ideal for a person with a degree in computer science, who doesn't really love programming, but loves IT and wants to stay in the industry of IT?

  • I have done a degree in computer science, but wouldn't say i have a passion for programming. But i still love information technology. In that case, what kind of masters would lead to positions that would appeal to a person like me?

  • Answer:

Law  :-> IT + Law can be an excellent choice. Especially after some years of experience in IT. You can join the legal department of a software company or become a patent lawyer. MBA :-> You can become a manager most likely in a services company, and take care of client management etc. which will require understanding of technical aspects.

As you are from Computer science and are planning to stay in the IT sector , then i would suggest you go for M.Tech in Artificial Intelligence. The best school to study artificial intelligence would Be UPES Dehradoon India. M.Tech in Artificial intelligence and artificial neural network provides an innovative, high-quality learning opportunity. Artificial intelligence is a step ahead of Computer engineering. This is a professional degree that will enable you to manage the skills accordingly. As far as UPES is considered, I assure you that UPES is the best choice as it is one of the best universities in India and the only cores sector university too. If you are looking for good faculty, infrastrucutre then UPES is definitely the best choice. It has pretty good placements records, reputed companies visit every year here for campus selection and this is the thing which maters the most in the end. Moreover, it̢۪s the only university which offers core sector programs so do check it once before taking final decision. Good luck!

Major in Computer Engineering, It will increase the difficulty of your degree but adds a level of understood competency to your diploma. From there I would suggest working for a company before you look towards grad school. That way you can determine if you want to stay development/engineering focused or go towards management and get a MBA instead.
