How can I kill my neighbors plant?

i dont know where you live but in massachusettes if your neighbors trees/plants are overhanging into your property you can cut them to the property line. if you really want it dead then simple systemic vegitation killer. read the directions for proper mixing ratio and just pour it all around the root zone use a whole gallon+ of it no nails required. get it at home depot/local garden center

If you go the nail route, make sure you use copper nails..the reaction to the sap is deadly!

i would recommend cutting the over hanging branches. you could drive copper spikes into the tree. they don't need to be more than a couple inch long. use a punch or nail to set them into the tree and out of sight. do this right at the soil line, you don't want the spikes to be fond when tree is removed. don't expect this to kill the tree in a single season.

you can cut off the branches that hang over your property. your property is from the ground up just cut those branches and he cant say a word and you wont get in trouble like you would if you killed his tree.

Boiling water, no evidence, no smell (bleach may be noticed) Repeat as often as possible, with a tree it may take awhile.

the best way to kill a tree is banding. all you have to do is cut a ring around the tree in the bark and make sure it goes all the way through the bark.

You can (legally) cut off anything that overhangs your property line, if that would help. You can also call your county or city hall - ours takes a dim view of people that leave fruit to attract rats and other vermin.

pour bleach on the roots
