Well, maybe you didn't know this but some lip balm will dry out your lips. Right now don't use any lipstick it will just make it worse and no lip gloss for now. I'll recommend aveeno lip balm its medical made and Burt's bee wax or something like that if that doesn't work get a Kaiser permanent lip balm that works really well. good luck.

Make sure you drink a lot of water. Dry lips are a sign of dehydration - cut back on sodium drinks if you consume a lot and - try using pure vitamin e on the lips (break open a capsule) then apply especially at bed. You can also make a little sea salt scrub with kosher salt and olive oil (use in the shower) Take some vitamins a e and c orally and zinc. Whatever you do find that works, make sure it is not vaseline. As that is not a product that is helpful it actually <contrary to what everyone thinks> dries you out more.

I had this problem alot, until I used this product known as bag balm. They say it is vet medications, but many people have used it for years as an old time remedy and it really works. You can buy a tiny one ounce box at most pharmacies. It may take a couple of days of applying it before you notice the results. I use it also on my drying areas of the skin and it always helps me. Here is a link to read about it and see what the container looks like. http://www.bagbalm.com/ Other times I have also used Olive oil on mine, not vegetable oil. It seems to take longer than bag balm to help heal it but still very good. This is just a suggestion, but if it works...I'll be glad I told you. It does work for me.

yeah i've had dry lip issues for ever. a couple weeks ago my lips were dry, cracked and peeling. it caused my lips to get darker and hard and cracked. and the worse thing was that it really really itched. i have eczema, so i thought maybe my dry lips were related to that.. or something. umm, when it happened to me last year i used really thick lip gloss and that worked for me. when it returned this year, i didn't have the lip gloss and i forgot that it helped me last time so i bought lip balm after lip balm. i even bought the burt's bees for $4 and it actually just made my lips feel more dried up afterwards. finally, i started using my eczema cream on my lips and that helped. i don't know if you have eczema, so u might not have eczema cream, but, since the lip balm is not working for you, stop using and try thick lip gloss. my brother has dry lip issues too and he uses lip gloss (he doesn't put so much that it's all shiny) but he puts enough to protect his lips and it works for him.

Chapstick, Do you lick your lips allot that will dry them out. Funny I only have to apply chapstick when I am in a car for a long period of time, But licking your lips will cause a problem.

I get dryness at the corners of my mouth because of a vitamin B deficiency. I take a vitamin B complex every day and it is the only thing that helps. Also, drink lots of water and use Carmex in the little white and yellow jar. The Carmex in the tube doesn't work as well IMO. Good luck! :)

first of all you need to make sure you drink plenty of water all the time, at least 8 glasses a day or more. i have this problem to but not this bad and chap stick usually helps me but i know it's b/c i don't drink enough water and not drinking enough water and eating healthy can cause all kinds of problems in your body, and one of the ways you can tell when a person has poor nutrition is their skin, hair, and nails. that includes lips. second i would recommend taking a look on Web MD, it's helped me out a few times and if you can't figure something out on your own after that or if it gets worse or causes other problems see a doctor, they will probably refer you to a dermatologist

Go Carmex!

I can't go without carrying a tube of lip stuff around. If I do my lips feel horrible. I do have the very softest lips now. You should try.
