Why are my fingers peeling? Actually, my whole hands are peeling now. No blisters, just skin coming off! Help!

I don't think it's eczema. It happened to my toes once. But it got better because I gave it some air.

my 9 yr old son had the same problem, so what i did was after every shower i would apply lotion on his hands (after a shower when u apply lotion it locks in the moisture) and after about 2-3 wks we noticed a difference...skin began growing back and no more peeling... but you have to do it everyday...

My daughter went through the same thing a couple of years ago, never found out what it was it cleared up on it's on.

I guess it is just normal. We peel off to renew our skin, it just like taking off the dead cell layer to produce new skin cells. It should not happen often. If it does, then it must be due to something you're using like lotion or creams.. or maybe soap or detergent. I once used a strong detergent and it caused my hands to peel off.Hope this is the answer you are looking for. :0

It sounds like you are like me. That you suffer from extremely dry skin. Get some hand lotion, SUAVE or St. Ive's, is what I use. Apply it often and after EVERYTIME your hands have gotten wet. Air conditioning in the car, aggrivates it. Alcohol, beer, makes it worse. So do cleaning products and even mild hand soaps. It's pittiful! If I go 12 hours without lotion my skin starts peeling off and it drives me nuts. I probably apply it 10 to 12 times a day. It works.

Hi! I suggest you go and consult a doctor or dematologist about it. It's safer than to guess about. With doctors diagnosis you will know what has gone wrong and then you can avoid the things which causes the problem. Also, doctor will prescribe to you appropriate medications to reduce the condition and it will entually bring it udner control. Whether4 or not it will be cured totally depends on your personal health conditions, genes, environmental, the things you use, etc. Practically every aspects played a part. It's better to start receiving medical attention than to wait until it's too late! Just a sharing.....

just keep puttin lotion on them. sleep with your hands in plastic bags full of lotion. its usually caused by stress or weather.

Maybe you have leprosy? Only joking, I have no idea.

Try water theraphy. You're probably dehydrated due to too much sun exposure and not drinking enough water to replace the fluids you've lost from sweating.
