I wrote a movie to a dvd+r it plays on com but cant be read on dvd player, is there any way to fix this?

Try and google a free program, not a trial a full free program called DVD Flick. It seems to convert most files WAV MPEG ect I have not tried AVI so I cant comment on that. I have Nero but I think DVD flick uses its own burning software but don't put me on oath.

Could be the either the brand of DVD that you are using or your DVD player might be an older one that doesn't work well with self-made DVDs (the pickup isn't sensitive enough). Have your friend give you a disk that he/she made (and works at their house) and try it in your machine. If it plays on your computer, my money is on one of these two issues.
