What are the troubled banks in America?

Banks in America: Best Banks?

  • In your opinion, what is the best bank to bank with?

  • Answer:

I'm a big fan of Credit Unions. They have lower account fees and high rates of return on savings. How? No stock holders to satisfy. And they are safe; all accounts are insured up to $250,000. To me, they are banks but act like a non-profit organization.

Other answers

Credit Unions, Credit Unions, Credit Unions. I don't know why anyone banks with banks. CUs have better rates, more customer orientation, much less fees, & the same services for personal banking. The only thing regular banks offer is more options for businesses. Add a little online banking for higher rates on essentially "leave alone" accounts, & everything is covered. For online banks it's important to check how you can move money in & out & daily/monthly limits on each method & delay before interest is paid. Some are great like Etrade, others are limited & you can pull your hair out. CUs now have membership by location, so anyone can find one to belong too.
