Has anyone used cash for gold? Were you statisfied, what did you send and how much did you get?

    Consumers Report did a test on this,they had a item that cost $175.00. They sent it to the top 4 for buying gold.The best price offered $20.00.That should answer that question.Follow the advice of people above,I do not deal with pawn shops but I do believe they will give you a better deal them these send me your gold.

Get it appraised and sell it on ebay(find out how much the gold itself is worth... any jewler will do this). Ebay tends to pay 10% above spot price(really good).. so you can sell it there with a certified appraisal.

They did the same thing with silver sometime back. They gave pennies on the dollar. While they do have to make a profit, they were really out of line. Gold is selling for around $1,000.00 per ounce right now. A jewelry shop would more than likely give you a better price, and would also buy your gems that are in them.
