the reaction will be seen most often within 30 minutes rarely would it take longer . you may see that the spot where the bee sting is has become red. this is an indication of an allergic reaction . the more swelling and or redness you see indicates how much of the allergen the person can handle now. if you don't know if your allergies to bee stings its a good idea to take an antihistamine . look for one that treats all forms of allergic reactions itch . nose. eyes . all of it . one that is most often used in a hospital or ambulance is benadrl. however you may find cheaper versions of the same medication in any pharmacy. the pharmacist certainly can help with finding the best dosage and brand of antihistmine you need. take some just to be safe.

10 to 30 minutes at most. If ti is going to be a severe reaction...it is almost immediate.

If it's the 1st sting a child has had the inital reaction could take up to 6 - 12 hours. The earlier the reaction shows up the worse the reaction typically will be. Doctoors usually advise a trip to the office or ER with any sting if the child is under 2.
