Can failing to pay rent affect your credit score?
-
I am wanting to rent a home for my mother, but I don't want my credit to be affected if something happens, and the rent can't be paid.
-
Answer:
Yes failure to pay rent will affect your credit. Have your mom sign the lease and you just pay the rent. If something happens then it is mom's score that takes the hit.
