How to reduce a little redness of the eye?

Does anyone know what you can do to reduce eye redness?

  • its from contact irritation.

  • Answer:

I wear contacts also and the best product that I use is Opcon A by Bausch & Lomb, it takes the redness away almost immediately, and even slightly numbs which makes them feel great!

it's been so long since i have worn contact's but i think there is special eye drops out there for contact wearers.....but first i would contact your optometrist and ask them if there is anything you can use for it, they might be able to tell you if there is a reason for the irritation also

1) Wash your eyes thoroughly with luke warm / cold water for minimum 10-15 times 2) Else take some ice cubes in a cotton cloth and close your eyes and place the ice cubes wrapped in cloth over your eyes for few seconds then take back and then for few seconds. You have to do this for some 10-15 minutes. 3) After doing all the above, take a nap for about half an hour

My eye dr suggested NOT wearing contacts for the full time I was awake - meaning, take them out a couple of hours before your bedtime and wear glasses so your eyes can "breathe" and get more oxygen. He also gave me some Optic eye drops that moisturize the eye, it works like artificial tears in a sense.

Remember that old correction fluid that was used with typewriters? Works for me, sort of. Some side effects, though.
