How to do research on a company?

How do I research a company to invest in?

  • I want to invest in a company or buy stock in it, but I don't know how to do my homework on it, if you know what I mean, How do I do it?

  • Answer:

Well let's see, you have a computer or mobile device because you posted. Search the company using google or yahoo browser. On the company home page there is a place in the top or bottom where it says "investor relations" You will find all your info there. OR you can search for the company stock symbol on yahoo finance and find a bunch of data there.

Finding good companies that meet your requirements for potential gains may be challenging if you need to investigate each one individually. You should consider signing up for a stock analysis service with your broker or an independent service. Find one with a trial option so that you cancel with only a small price charged in case you don't like the service. Having someone else look through 7500 stocks in the US and another 2300 in CA is worth a small fee.
