From 1-10 how painful are braces tightenings?

It didn't hurt me at all

Take advil before. They do hurt a lot. You can't chew about 30 mins after the process. Wen I hate them I stuck to soft foods and soup. It's only for like 1-2 days

It hurts in my opinion. I hate it it hurts for at least 2 days and I can't eat and I take a lot of asprin. It doesn't hurt that much like a 6.6 and its irritating

The pain is not instantaneous, and some tightenings are more uncomfortable than others. I would say most of mine were 5-7. I would sometimes get dull pain or headaches the next day. I had an expander on my top jaw that was like a torture device, so normal braces tightenings were a piece of cake by comparison. I don't remember the tightenings ever causing me so much trouble that I couldn't eat or brush normally. It's really more annoying than it is painful. You get used to it with time.

It depends. For me it was an 8-9. Take lots of advil!

Like a 7. Eat soft foods and within 2 days you'll be good! The longer you have your braces on the less it will hurt getting tightened!

the day that you get the tightening you should be ok to eat. The next couple days after though you will start to feel it. You will not be able to eat any hard fruits or big things. ive never had any kind of pain from brushing with braces though. the procedure itself is like a 2, its not bad.

I have braces and when they tighten them it doesn't hurt at all. Sometimes it's a little sore afterwards, but when they actually do it... it doesnt hurt at all. Sometimes it feels good. During- 1 Afterwards- Usually 1 but sometimes up to 6 if you get a stronger chains or rubber bands. Hope this helps!(:
