How do you get rid of that nasty taste in your mouth?

  • When ever I'm sick with a cold or something, I get a really weird taste in my mouth. How can I get rid of it besides brushing my teeth?

I don't know exactly what you're talking about, because I've never experienced a weird taste except when I was coughing a LOT, but I would just suggest breathmints. They'll help your sore throat, too, if you have one.

Listerine. It may taste nasty, but it does the job it was intended to do.

Has the doc ever told you that you had something other than a cold when you got that weird taste in your mouth, say a bronchitis or pneumonia or a lung infection? Sometimes when I get bronchitis I get a weird sweet/bitter/nasty taste that even brushing or mouthwashing won't get rid of. I've noticed that after taking the anti biotics they prescribe it goes away within 2 to 3 days.

try a good antispetic mouthwash, like listerine. a lot of it has to do with the foods you eat, too, however. hey, i'm gunna refer this one to the food & wine guy.....
