yes, but your opponent will only take 500 of damage because whatever # of cards he draws are drawn at the same time by the effect of card destruction.

greed is a trap card right. so that means if u wana use card destruction then u have to put down greed, wait till ur next turn comes then u can activate greed and since card destruction is a spell u are able to just activate it. make sure greed is face up before playing card destruction.
