In yugioh, what are the ways to destroy a counter trap?

its not spell counters your thinking of its speed spells. spell and trap cards and even some monsters are speed spells: speed spell 1: all spells (except quick play) and monster effects speed spell 2: normal traps and continuous traps and quick play spells speed spell 3: counter traps speed spell 4: effects that activate from the hand each speed spell is faster than the one before it and slower than the one after it. so if you want to stop a counter trap you either need another counter trap (counter counter) or a monster effect that activates from your hand.

Play your own Counter Traps! There's nothing stopping you from rocking a Solemn Judgment and any of the many other Counter Traps. Counter Traps are kind of annoying because they effectively end chains if you don't have another Counter Traps to respond with. Besides running your own, an effective tactic to use against them is to force your opponent to activate them. Basically, you play something powerful that absolutely has to be answered while retaining either a duplicate of it or something more powerful in hand.

im not a complete nerd w/ yugioh rules but i think the only way to negate a 'counter trap' card is the effect monsters that negates spell or traps or continuous spell cards that can negate spells and traps or continuous traps card that negate spells and traps (if there are any), or the trap card 'Counter Counter Trap' that card negates the activation of a counter trap card and destroys it....but u cannot chain a counter trap w/ anutha counter trap or any spell trap, they are a slower speed....Counter Trap is the fastess any1 correct me if im wrong coz i did point out 'im not a complete nerd w/ yugioh rules'

it's to do with spell speed not spell counters, your mixed up a bit. any way counter trap is the fastest (monster effects from the hand are faster but their is none at the moment which can stop traps.) and can only be counter with another counter trap. there are cards which can stop it i.e dark bribe, seven tools of the bandit, trap jammer, and counter trap. to answer the other part spell counters are created by card effects fordifferentt uses by the card/cards for example breaker the magical warrior use's his spell counter which he creates to destroy a spell or trap card. magical exemplar uses the spell counters she gets from when spell cards are used to summon more spell casters etc. spell counters are mainly created by spell casters and some spell cards they have nothing to do in what you were thinking of.
