How To Win The Lottery Guaranteed?

How many years would you have to play the lottery for before you are statistically guaranteed a win?

  • Answer:

As others have said, no matter how many times you play, you're never guaranteed a win, however I understand what you're really asking. To answer that I would need to know the odds of the lottery. There are hundreds, perhaps thousands of lotteries worldwide. Without know which lottery you're talking about it would be impossible to give an answer.

You can never guarantee that you will win with statistics. If you flip a coin it theoretically lands on tails 1 out of 2 times. This doesn't mean that every other time it will land on tails. I have personally flipped a coin and gotten 10 tails in a row. Therefore there is never a guarantee unless the statistic is 1:1. Theoretically you would have to spend more money over time than you would win before winning the lottery. Otherwise the government wouldn't have incentive to have a lottery. Or if you are really rich you could get all the lottery tickets before anyone else buys them and then you would be guaranteed to win, but that would be like spending several hundred dollars (give or take) just to say you won the lottery. People would ask you what you were buying with the money and you would say you can't because winning the lottery put you in debt. But hey if you REALLY want bragging rights then it's worth it.

As others have said, it really depends on which lottery you play. I've done the math on the PowerBall lottery in the USA before. The chance of hitting the jackpot is over 176 MILLION to 1. I figure that if you played 50 tickets per week, each and every week, you'd likely win ONCE in about 70,000 years. Just do the math from there if you only bought ONE ticket per week! Simply put - it's NEVER, ever, ever, ever, EVER going to happen. Just accept that fact and you'll be better off.

Your not guaranteed to win it. Probability isnt a definate source of prediction. The probability of flipping a coin is 50 50 but i guarantee if you flip it you wont get 5 heads and 5 tales

There is never a guarantee that you'll win anything. The lottery is a game for anyone that is bad at math. For example, if you are playing a lottery game with 36 numbers, and there are 6 numbers that will be chosen to win the jackpot, then the number of combinations for the particular game are: 1,402,410,240 .. over 1 billion!

99% of the tickets sold lose, so the answer is almost never.

I know a person 9 years in a row didn't win a penny

The lottery is a game of chance like most gambling games and therefore your never guaranteed to win no matter how long you play for.
