Who are some good professional jazz dancers?

ATTENTION BALLET, TAP, AND JAZZ DANCERS!!!?

  • I am doing a project and I need all dancers' opinions, which do you think would make your pulse beat fastest: Ballet, tap or jazz? Thanks!

  • Answer:

it really depends on the moves. tap in general the whole routine is always going to make your heart pump really fast. no matter what routine you do you will be going really fast. jazz is not really as fast i would say. ballet for example, if you are doing fouette after fouette or grand jetes, your heartbeat will be faster than in tap but plies and arabesques are not going to make you breath fast.

it depends how hard the dancer is working, but i would say tap or jazz. OR Ballet doing Petite Allegro.

I have about 17 years of ballet and 15 years both jazz and tap under my belt. It's kind of tough to say, though. Ballet requires a lot of strength and is physically demanding. However, if I do plies I'm not going to be panting, I'll just be sweating. If I do a ton of fouettes you bet I'm panting and my heart rate is up there. Really depends what you're doing. The movements are slower and more controlled than jazz and tap. You're using every inch of your body. But, it's slower. Jazz is neutral for me. If you're running and jumping and flying all over the place you're going to have a higher heart rate. It's more high energy than ballet. Tap gets me the most worked up. Learning the steps is a walk in the park, unlike ballet, but when you're executing a fast routine you're working hard and you're giving it 100%. There's nothing slow to let you catch your breath. You're panting, your heart rate is crazy, and I've actually thrown up after a few tap routines because they were so tiring and fast. So, if you're doing class work and learning steps and things ballet is the most demanding, but if you're doing a routine I think tap would get your heart beating fastest. It's hard to say, really.

I would have to say Jazz or Tap(: They really get you movin' and pumped up!

jazz (: ballet is hard work but is generally slower paced with slow music. tap is mostly footwork. jazz is fast paced with a lot of leaps, jumps, and kicks. generally in jazz you are dancing to fast upbeat music and moving quickly. there are lots of different types of leaps and jumps, like stag leaps, russians, c-jumps, etc. you're just moving a little more than in ballet and tap.

Hi! I have only taken a few beginners tap lessons and the teacher had to quit due to some reason I don't know, so I don't really know about tap. But, I think probably ballet because you are so concentrated that it makes you breathe hard :)

i do all of them!!! and tap would make your heart go fastest but it depends on how much of each you would do! but tap would make it fastest! jazz second! and ballet last! hope this helps!

Hmmm... That's a toughie. I've only taken one jazz class, so I can't really speak for that one, but for ballet and tap, I'd say they're pretty equal. But I think ballet might make your pulse beat a little faster than the rest, because even though you're doing slower movements sometimes, you're working your muscles so hard!

Jojo

well i take all of those classes and i think tap really gets your pulse movin hope i helped
