When did the Disney World open its doors to the visitors?

Disney World visitors - Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach, and why?

    Blizzard Beach has more slides and more to do for younger kids to. They have the extreme summit Plummit and some big slides too. They have a big pool with tubes that isnt a wave pool you can just relax and swim. Typhoon lagoon doesn't have as many slides, but the ones they do have are fun. the shark reef sadly coast like $40 extra to do. The wave pool there is fun but can be very dangerous as well, i scraped mu back all up on the ruff floor of it and got a bloody nose because the wave pushed me into someone. Both have lazy rivers which are great, but i personally like Blizzard Beach better. I felt like the rides where more fun, there was more to do, less dangerous, and had something for all ages.

They are both amazing. If you have time, you should use two days and go to both, or split the day between the two. However, on my Disney world vacation in October, we went to Typhoon Lagoon a little after it opened in the morning. They came on the loudspeaker and said that most of the rides were closed because the filter system wasn't working properly. The only things open were the Shark Reef (*which didn't have a lot of fish and was quite cold), the wave pool (*which was pretty cool) and one or two water slides. When we were leaving, the park workers made up a lie that the park was too crowded and weren't letting anyone in, even though that wasn't the real reason. We headed over to blizzard beach and had a blast. The Lazy River was a godsend because it takes you to pretty much everywhere in the park and you don't have to walk. However, when we were on the chair lift, it broke down for about 20 minutes which was quite a disappointment. Also, one ride at the top broke down for about 10 minutes, but it was worth the wait. Blizzard Beach also has two very high watersides that are worth the wait. If you only have one day, I suggest you go to Blizzard Beach. It is bigger and has better attractions in my opinion. Whichever one you choose, have fun at Disney!

Blizzard beach is very nice. Never been to the other one. Its been awhile since Ive been to Blizzard beach but I did enjoy it. I really liked the tubing. Slides were cool too.

I would have to say typhoon lagoon for the waterslides. They are amazing.
