The big thing now that the companies notice have to do with identity theft, viruses, phishing, viruses and all other forms of computer security. This can also branch over to protecting the information even when you dispose of the computer. Personally speaking it bugs me to no end having to wait several minutes to turn on a computer. But I turn it off between use to keep intruders that can get past the fire wall. If you can find how people can get past fire walls and how to stop it, then that would be a great project.
