How hard is it to double major in architecture and computer engineering?

Which MS programme in ECE is better CMU or UT-Austin. Comment based on both courses and placements.(Computer architecture/engineering)?

    FWIW, Yale Patt at UT was Onur Mutlu's (CMU) advisor. Yale is a senior, super-famous computer architect. Until recently, I would have said UT would be the clear choice, given the presence of Doug Burger, Steve Keckler, and Yale, but the first two have decamped to industry. Still, UT would be an excellent choice.

I can't comment on UT-Austin but the coursework and placements at CMU are very good. As said, the profs are amazing and they make every effort to teach you.

Carnegie Mellon is supposed to be better, but the difference is not massive.

I've been taking Embedded Systems courses at CMU.  They are amazing.  The coursework is very relevant.  The material is engaging.  The professors seem to care about students' learning.  Can't comment on architecture or UT-Austin.
