Coat asparagus with olive oil, 1 tbsp of minced garlic, 1/8 tsp of kosher salt. Place in a shallow baking dish. Bake @ 350 F for 10 minutes. The longer you bake it the softer it will become. We like ours firm.
When I make asparagus I put a little EVOO on it along with some season all and salt and pepper. Then either throw it on the grill, cook it in a frying pan or set my oven to broil which works well.

Lay them in a pan, so that there aren't too many layers, and pop them into the oven with the rest of the meal. I do it all the time, and they taste delicious.

ASPARAGUS ROLL UPS 1 dozen asparagus spears, trimmed 12 slices provolone cheese 12 thin slices prosciutto 4 fresh cloves garlic, finely minced 2-3 tablespoons fresh parsley, minced 2 tablespoons Parmesan 2 tablespoons fresh basil 1/2 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil pinch of hot red pepper flakes (optional) Trim asparagus and discard tough ends. Steam or boil asparagus in 3/4 inch of salted water for about 5 minutes. Drain well. In a food processor, finely chop garlic, parsley, Parmesan and basil. (Add a small pinch of hot red pepper flakes, if desired). Process to a spreadable paste, leaving some small chunks. Spread inside each cheese slice with the paste, using enough to coat generously. Roll 1 slice cheese tightly around each asparagus. Roll each with a slice of prosciutto and refrigerate until ready to serve. ASPARAGUS IN RED PEPPER SAUCE 1 lb asparagus stalks 3 large red peppers 3 1/2 T olive oil 1 T balsamic or rice vinegar 1/2 tsp fresh thyme Leaves Salt & Pepper Peel the asparagus if necessary, snap off the stems at the bottom, and cook the stalks in lightly salted water for 4 to 8 minutes, depending on thickness, or until fork tender but stiil firm. Drain under cold water and set the stalks aside. Rub the peppers in olive oil and broil on all sides until lightly scorched. Place the cooked peppers in a paper bag to steam for 10 minutes. Remove the peppers and rub off the skins. Cut open and remove the stem, seeds and white flesh. Puree the peppers in the food processor. Mix in the olive oil, balsamic vinegar and thyme. Adjust seasoning, adding salt and pepper if desired. Divide puree among 4 serving dishes. Top with asparagus.

I looked at the recipe, and yes you can cook that in the oven. Just follow the recipe directions. Take the asparagus and peppers out of the marinade and place them of a foil lined baking sheet. You will probably bake them for about the same time that it said to grill them. I would set the oven on 375 degrees. You can adjust the heat and cooking time to your oven.

you could put it in foil with some garlic and olive oil and cook it in the oven as well. or you could do a teriyaki style dish using a wok. Do you have an indoor grill....could use one of those as well.
