Some states have what is called a drivers policy. This policy covers any car that a driver is driving, such as a borrowed car or if you have 25 different cars (God Bless you Dad) and don't want to insure every one of them. Bear in mind that it only covers you as the driver, so you can't loan your car to ANYONE because they will not be covered. Also, most insurance companies don't advertise this policy because they want premiums from all of your cars, not just on you. This type of insurance may not be available in your state but it is sure worth a phone call to your local agent or research on an online insurance company.
