What is the diference between FAFSA ans Federal Pell Grant?

  • What is federal pell grant anyway? ... and I dont know hwy is that I dont qualifyu for the federal pell grant if my EFC is of Zero. Please help, If you need information in order to ...show more

  • Answer:

FAFSA is just a form that determines how much your family should contribute to your education and helps schools figure out how much financial aid they will give you. Federal Pell Grant is money that the government gives you to pay for school. You don't have to pay it back! With an EFC of 0 you should be eligible for Pell. Make sure you filled FAFSA out correctly. They will do a check and make sure you put all truthful information. And like the other person said, any kind of felony would compromise your aid as well. If you get accepted to a school you should have a financial aid counselor. Contact them and they could help you.

Federal pell grant is for lower income students with a low efc, with a zero efc you should have gotten a pell grant, maybe you should call the school or something...unless they ran out of money...
