Yes, you can. Some universities, such as Clemson University, offer study abroad/university faculty-led trips related to health, medicine, and nursing. They are short -- a week or several weeks, and fit into spring break or a month in early summer. So check out various universities with nursing programs and ask about study abroad. Nursing doesn't work well with a whole semester abroad, but short term travel is possible over the summer or break. Some universities, such as the University of Delaware, have a mini-term in January, which may be used for travel abroad or short specialized courses.
