It depends on what your life priorities are. If the satisfaction of helping people is your primary goal, this would be a good choice. You should know that admission to the physical therapy major is quite competitive and requires an excellent GPA. I am elderly and have had need of physical therapy. My favorite therapist has her doctorate in PT. She cannot be making the kind of money most people with doctorates make but she is very happy with her life's work. You may want to contact a physical therapist and ask if you can observe her for a few hours so you can see just what is involved. I might mention that you need to be physically strong.

hello there! physical therapy is a good profession because as we can see nowadays, people are so busy doing everyday's task, they get tired and they need something to resolved and something to real ease that tiredness they had felt. in this way, physical therapy is the best answer for their problem. By this they could relaxed themselves and feel good again.

Because of the war in Iraq I would think that this would be a good field to get into with the Veteran's Administration.

The physical therapist I saw recently was talking about how much schooling is needed vs. the pay after you get done. She felt jipped. She loves what she does and is already doing it so a career change now is out of the question for her.
