Answer:
Not very. I dont think they "lie" to us as such, I just think they are very economical about the truth. We never know whats really going on, and there are a lot of cover ups. I get it from the Oracle who lives on the corner, she knows everything.

I trust very little of what I see in the MSM (mainstream media) because it is heavily biased in favor of the conservative right and corporations. Certainly they suppress stories that do not fit our government's and corporation's agendas or that of conservative agendas. I tend to get my news from independent domestic and foreign media. Many Swedish and other Nordic countries news outlets provide good coverage of global happenings. Female.

I trust them to lie to me, at their convenience and to spread propaganda. I actually don't mind war propaganda, since I already support the U.S. military in just about any endeavor they choose to undertake. Female. BQ: The internet, they lie to me so often. Better than television.
very little. they slant every truth. yes. not per se, they attach the philosophy behind the party's. mostly, but i think they have a slant every time. MANLY Man. tv news (4 different networks), internet, newspaper. GE owns NBC. when new york had a BIG anti nuke protest against their local nuke plant (owned by GE, there was NO mention on the local or network news by NBC. ditto when disney was trying to stretch out trademark / copyright protection because micky mouse was about to enter the public domain, ABC news had NO coverage (ABC is incidentally owned by disney). we expect cooperate owned outlets to be corporate propaganda, but when they don't cover EACH Others dirt we the people are being screwed.
I don't trust the mainstream media. They are corporations and all corporations have the same blend of board of directors. I think they tell 1/2 truths and they tend to omit rather than spin. Yes they suppress stories. Funny how all of the evening news has the same news with so many stories out there. Each journalist has their preferred party. I trust little they tell me and surprised when they do tell the truth. You know I am a man. Various sources, just have to sift through it.

The MSM adds a slant to nearly everything they report. It is nearly impossible to report something without becoming part of the story. I just have to pick out the "facts" as best I can.
glinda, i don't trust them much at all. i answer yes to all three of those "do" questions. (i DO think they "spin" stories. lawyers are another great profession full of "spinners".) female BQ: i listen to public radio a lot just because i have a long commute into work. otherwise i read things here and there, taking it all with a grain of salt. everyone's selling something.

Fantasy is always more interesting than reality. I think they suppress anything that people don't want to hear. Obviously lol, but still it's all about money. Hear both biased sides and figure out what you believe. male BQ: The phillip defranco show.
CNN, BBC are one of the best channels and i trust them a lot. Most of other just want to increase their TRP by showing interesting crap. They just recreate the whole story to make it interesting, even if it requires lying. Most of them want to take over other news channels, so yes they suppresses other news stories. Nah, not on particular party though, until the manager of their channel have some unfinished business with the political party member :) Trust depends on what channel you are watching. Most domestic channels can't be trusted, and few international channels can be trusted 100% Male
