How did birds evolve from dinosaurs?

  • If birds existed before dinosaurs did?

  • Answer:

    >"Sinosauropteryx, listed as the oldest species roamed China 130 MYA," The "oldest species" of what? Not birds. Sinosauropteryx is one of the oldest species of dinosaurs with signs of feathers, but that does not make it a "bird." In fact, all of your paragraph assumes a date of 150 million years ago as "when birds first appeared". But if none of these examples are what you are basing this date on, then what species is the one you are using as the benchmark of the "first bird"?

The first dinosaurs appeared 230 million years ago, long before the first birds. Certain groups of dinosaurs had feathers, probably for insulation since it appears they were warm blooded. They probably also used them for display. An early feathered dinosaur species evolved into birds. Other feathered dinosaurs remained dinosaurs long after the first birds appeared. You show only that your knowledge of dinosaurs is grossly limited. There was no requirement that all dinosaurs with feathers evolve into birds, so your whole posting is pointless and simply shows your befuddled thinking.

Lighting the Way to Reality

Dinosaurs existed from about 230 MYA until 65 MYA, you said yourself that the oldest example on your list is 130 MYA that is completely consistent with the expected evolutionary timeline. I'm not entirely sure what you are getting at are you arguing that birds are polyphyletic?

there were bird like dinosaurs, but birds never existed before dinosaurs.

Dinosaurs were first existing, but there was a dinosaur named Archaeopteryx, which was a mixed form between them and birds. It was more evolved than dinosaurs in various ways. People think that birds derived from this dinosaurs. You can search for ARCHAEOPTERYX in Wikipedia for further information.

I suspect the paleontologists may have got this the wrong way round and that some dinosaurs like the raptors and the theropods actually evolved *from* birds. It seems like dinosaurs get more bird-like the further back in time you go. It is now thought that archaeopteryx was a precursor to the raptor. So, I wonder what archaeopteryx evolved from? Protoavis? And what came before that?

In my opinion, Noah's ark was dinosaur. Ark of Noah is a medium through which data of the gene is transferred. Genesis 6:19 You are to bring into the ark two of all living creatures, male and female, to keep them alive with you. Evolution of species doesn't have a linear time till mankind open eyes. Genesis 9:13 I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. Where could we find pitch, today? Genesis 6:14 So make yourself an ark of cypress wood; make rooms in it and coat it with pitch inside and out. Today's annual rhythms begins "From Genesis 9:13". (This is my assumption.) Today's light speed begins from Genesis 9:13, too. (I mean, distance.) So, they have breathed CO2 like trees. - "reason of extinction" - Today's record of CO2 is 0.3%. "Can you see why some dinosaur need a wing?" "Can you see the meaning of featherd bird?" - Genesis 8:12 "Can you see why bats live in cave?" - Genesis 8:7 Anyway... People can make an answer but there is no a reason. (This is your so-called free will.) God can make a reason but there is no an answer. (This is your so-called destiny & chance.) Sometimes I say, Newton's apple is more clever than Newton. Hope it helps.

it all happened because magicians were at one point of time bored of throwing doves.. so they decided that they wanted something cooler.. so they decided "Lets throw monsters at people" anyways they used their combined magic to turn a lot of birds into dinosaurs.. they then proceeded to throw out HUGE DINOSAURS and stuff which promptly ate the crowds.. then the magicians realized they did a terrible thing and banished the beasts to below the waters off the coast of japan..
