  Practicing whenever you can is your best bet, though all the rehearsal in the world won't help anyone overcome genetic limitations. For instance, most of us, regardless of the effort we put into singing, could never compare to someone with the ridiculous range and pitch of a Celine Dion. She's just gifted in that way. Even if you have limitations, there's nothing to prevent you from developing your own style, which is even better than having a perfect voice. People like Sade and Macy Gray have built great careers on styles that are completely unique to them, despite the fact that they have extremely limited vocal ranges and unremarkable voices. To develop your own style, you'll probably have to start writing songs specifically for your voice. But that's fun, too! Good luck!
