What in your opinion is a good number of teams for a fantasy football league in order to be fun?

I think 10 is the perfect amount. If you kinda dont want a bunch of competition than 6 or 8 woud be good. If you are just looking to have as many people as possible than 12 or 14 or maybe 16, but never more than that because it gets crazy after that.

8 - provides a solid pool of players in free agency /// 10-12 or more means getting involved time-wise that can turn a team into a hassle for those looking for fun

For football I'd say 10 or 12 team leagues are the best. 8 team leagues the rosters are crazy good, and more than 12 it's way too thin to find talent.

I think 8,10, or 12 is good. Anything more just becomes luck, and doesn't require much skill since there's barely ever a chance to make FA moves. Plus, the draft sucks after round 6 or so, when you're picking backups. And below 8 also loses a great deal of the strategic element. If every team is absolutely stacked, then there's no finding good sleepers involved. It's pretty boring playing the same teams over and over as well. As for my personal preference, I like 10 the most since it's not too many or too few. I've played a lot of 8 or 12 team leagues, and found them very good too, however.
