Should I sign up for Dish Network service through a reseller (AT&T, Sam's) or directly through Dish's website?

I am getting rid of my digital cable service. I don't really know how to go about adding satellite service. Thanks!

If you must have dish or directv go for the best deal wherever that is(buyer beware!!!!!). I looked into dish and directv and found them both to be a total racket. First off you can't get out of either contract without paying thru the nose...which makes no sense to me. If you were dating a girl and things didnt work out you could walk away and you meet someone else...no harm no foul...With media it just never works that way...why? Why are we not allowed to pay month to month and be happy? If the service was so great most would not cancel...however this is not the case. The service for either company is ridiculous and you would be hard pressed to find someone who speaks english for either company should you have a problem...technical or otherwise...this is the feedback Ive had from many dish and directv users... Before you sign up for either one make sure you read the fine print in the cotract...you may just want to stick with cable...

Their online ordering process isn't the best. I would say that the best thing to do is to call: 1-888-DISH-996 - New Account Setup 1-800-333-DISH - Existing Customers

Through their website. Why pay the middle man? Its cheap and its all I need as I (along with the rest of america) watch to much tv anyway. You can get one box that has a dual tuner so your only paying for one box but can watch on 2 tvs. I have 3 tv's so after they left I put a splitter on the one end. One remote is for the primary tv and only works in that room, the other sends the signal by radio and works anywhere in the house. Great deal as with direct tv or comcast, I'd be paying for each box. With dish, I only pay for one box, but view on all tv's. You can also add on one chanel at a time for 1.99 per month if there is one that isn't in your package. You don't have on demand, but you can opt for a dvr(which is free). They also have the largest selection of HD programming, for more money of course.

If I were you, get Direct T,V., we miss it terribly. My condo changed to Dish because it was cheaper. Well, cheaper, you get what you deserve, it is not the same.
