Yes the dish and the LNB's are 100% compatible because the I.F.'s(intermediate frequencies) of the LNB is identical.In fact you can pack it to Europe and use the dish and LNB with any Receiver on the market today to receive other satellites.Just make sure you are properly aligned on the respective Satellite.

Roger R is correct. A dish is a dish, and the LNB is an LNB. There are only two differences between a DISH dish and a DirecTV dish: The name painted on the dish, and The direction at which the dish is pointing. It's the signal coming down from the satellite, and the codes instructing your receiver, that determine what reception you get, not the dish or LNB.

You can try to use it - I believe the dish is not the issue more the transponder in front of the dish that you use. So in this case the dish would work - but not ness. the transponders in front of that dish.

To me i know that it doesn't work because Dish Network and Directv gives out different signals.
