Lare is right. Most of the items that are selling at super cheap prices on ebay are regurgitated items. You need alot of money to buy wholesale electronics at ridiculous prices. But there are a few places where you can go through and spend less that are not "china wholesalers" but some are other countries in asia that are democratic countries which I think is better to support when buying wholesale. Here is a page that has internet wholesalers or at least places that are selling things at good discounts. So you could probably make a profit through any of them if you have motivation enough to keep a business up. http://www.buy-in-bulk.com/free_wholesale_list. But keep in mind that feebay is not the only website you can sell on. There are many others that are actually free like ioffer, ecrater, craigslist, yahoo classified, payloadz, tradebit and plunderhere. These are the largest competitors to feebay so if you spread out your items on all the sites you will probably double the sales you would have done if you just went on ebay alone. Plus if you sell on free websites, it doesnt matter what kind of a discount you get, you will make some kind of profit probably. Im a powerseller on feebay and Im just so sick of them always changing rules and suspending people because they dont give any warning when they change policies so Im leaving to start selling at these other places and you shoulndt spend too much time focusing on ebay because I did that and now Im out of a job because of their sudden changes and the way they handled it. There are other free companies out there that actually want your business.

read the fine print. many of the "new" items are actually "refurbished" or worse, just store returns that no one has bothered to fix. Actually a number of famous manufacturers route their refurb merchandise to eBay so as to reduce competition with brick and mortar distributors. I ran a retail store once, and the wholesale distributor price for electronics was generally more than the Kmart or Walmart retail price. Big box stores cut special deals with the manufacturer. I would buy the big box store closeouts to keep them off the local market, and provide me with below wholesale merchandise for resale. its a tough market.
