What are the drawback of Windows Phone 8 compared to Android and iPhone?
-
The new Nokia Lumia 920 is awesome, but what are the less known *drawbacks* to the software? After many years with iPhone, I recently decided to switch to Android just to try something new. I'm actually very happy with the Android platform, however, I can't help reading the many positive reviews about the Nokia Lumia 920...and I'm tempted to try this phone and OS. Now, I'm sure most people know that the Microsoft app store doesn't have tons of apps on the shelves compared to that of Apple and Google. I can live with that (I think), but what are the small tweaks and turns that you can do in iOS and Android that you just can't do in the settings menu in Windows Mobile 8 (7.8)? What are you missing yourself, if you have made the switch? For instance, I prefer to have different ringtones for different people (a love song when my wife calls, and Top Gun when my brother calls). Is that at all possible with Windows Mobile 8? It is in iOS and Android. And one more thing that I wonder about: Does Windows Mobile 8 integrate with Apple's iCloud? For real - not just in theory.

Answer:
Windows Phone has almost everything a regular user demands. (Yes you can have different ringtones for different users.) And it has got most of the important apps and games. The OS is developing and the apps will come. The number of apps have crossed 1M mark, so you shouldnt be thinking much into that. Moreover it has a great UI and the best mobile browsing experience. I think its a good deal to buy a lumia 920.

Don't think you will be giving up anything by making the switch, because you won't. Once you get the interface down, which might take you a day its a great platform.
