What your opinion of buying things off ebay?

Some things are safer than others. With jewelry just make sure to check someone's feedback, and pay attention to if it's all buying or if they've sold before. Also very carefully read listings for any noted damage, etc. And for everything you win, keep in mind that you were willing to pay more than any other person in the world for that item at that point in time. Which means you probably overpaid.

Ebay is fine for buying jewellery. Look for sellers with a high feedback score, most people selling antiques that are genuine would have 100% feedback. If you're worried about getting scammed or the item turning out to be fake, just ask the seller questions prior to bidding - this can even include extra pictures and details about the item. I've never had a problem with buying things off Ebay and I've purchased items from all around the world.

Always review the sellers rating for the last 3 or 6 months... Read the description carefully...Don't be afraid to ask the seller a question PRIOR to bidding.... Use paypal, you have protection that way.... Be careful of sellers that may charge high priced shipping and handling...especially ones from other countries...

Check the person's rating. You want to buy from someone who has a high rating and has sold lots of stuff..... if someone has only sold a few things and has a low rating then pass it up but if someone has been selling for awhile and has a high rating then you can trust them. I buy stuff on Ebay all the time and I have never had a problem.
