Take your old card and explain your situation to the people at the test site. They should be able to call your insurance company and verify that you are indeed insured. If not, they are a**holes! Good luck on your test!

I don't know if they will or not. I live in Georgia and we have to have proof of insurance to get our car tag. When I went in to get it, they let me call my insurance company while I was at the office. USAA could also maybe fax proof of insurance right to the DMV. Call USAA and the DMV first thing in the morning to see if they could do that. Also, if your dad has online access to his policy, maybe you could log on to the policy and print out proof that you are insured.

No because you have no proof of coverage. Do you not have a fax somewhere that you can get a copy of the card sent to you?

No, they won't. You HAVE to show proof. Can you get the insurance company to fax proof of insurance to the DMV office? They should be willing to do so, and that would serve as proof. Good Luck ... let us know how it goes!!

The simple answer to your question is, NO. (And they have time to waste on checking peoples details, that's why they ask you to bring what you need.)

Have your dad go to the usaa website and look in his insurance documents and copy the card and send to you in an email. you can the print it off and put it in your car.
