ring the dvla speeding points stay on your licence for 4 years and are active for 3 years you can have them removed after 4 years

It totally depends on what the points were for. Speeding/running red lights etc are valid for three years but will show on the licence for a period of 4 years. Drink Driving and thigs like that are valid for 10 years but will show on the licence for 11. Your st bet is to call DVLA on 0870 240 0009 and they will be able to tell you exactly when they will come off the licence or even if they have already come off.

Points normally stay on your licence for 4 years from the date of conviction - they only count towards totting up for 3 of those years. Points for very serious offences, ie. those involving drink/drugs or causing death stay on for 11 years, active for 10. Read your licence.

they go after their expiry date, which is normally 3 years. they stay on your licence for 4 years after which you can have them removed (at a cost).

You insurance company doesn't always have your complete record. Check with the DMV or call your local state representative. That person's office may be able to call the DMV and get the info you want for no charge.

Rex

contact your dmv. most states you can pay a small fee for a copy of your record. if you have an insuranc epolicy in force, your agent should be able to tell you also.
