I have had to use my insurance roadside assistance from Statefarm several times in the last two years. they paid for locking keys in the car, being towed for broken fuel pump, and something else. Great deal.

Used to have AAA because I drove an older vehicle and wanted towing since my insurance didn't cover it. SO...when the occasion finally occured that I needed them, they were very pleasant on the phone but took FOREVER to get to me. I was not in a rural location...I think the driver got lost. On another occasion, I locked myself out of my car, but they would not help. I thought it was included. The other discounts they brag about are minimal....10-15% on hotels, car rentals,etc.

The roadside assistance that is included with your car insurance is a great deal: doesn't cost any extra. Your car is only a year old or less; it should not present any big problems anytime soon.

Insurance roadside assistance only kicks in if you have an accident. AAA works for all roadside problems.
