Do women think men can care for babies and raise kids as well as women do?

I do. I've seen the men in my life (including my own dad) do it very well.

Men are just as tender and caring; just because I believe that it's the job of a woman to care for the kids I'm not blind to the fact that men are just as capable, some even do a far better job than some women.

It depends upon the people. I've never changed a diaper or fed a baby, and have no desire to do so. My husband had to take care of his infant stepsister when he was a child, so he can do that kind of thing. If we were held at gunpoint and forced to deal with a baby, he'd be much better than me.

I think men can do a great job raising kids we reinforce manners an place clear guide lines for kids. Men would watch kids its an easy job set down rules an have them help with the cores to easy.

I think if a guy really wanted to look after a baby he would do a great job but I think the majority of men are less interested or motivated to care for littlies.

Yes, most feminists believe men are hopeless at everything, so they make sure that they have the career AND take care of the baby, that way reducing chances of the man STUFFING EVERYTHING UP by the way, i think that was really rude of those girls to say that, they sound nasty. and why are they thinking about careers if they wont even let the dad stay home? ridiculous, women cant do eveything, yet they still think they can, even after we have seen what has happened in society when all the mums work 24/7 and leave the tv and video games to raise their kids....its sad.

I think a lot of men put these stereotypes on themselves. I see so many men that won't have much to do with their children as babies, not because they don't want to, but because they are insecure in their own abilities. Some won't even try unless they absolutely have to. My father didn't want to touch my brother and I when we were babies but he did have fun with us when we got older and able to communicate better and do more things and of course out of diapers. My husband was apprehensive at first when our daughter was born, but he became more secure as time went on. He is perfectly capable of taking care of our children on his own. He may not do things like I would, but I have to trust in his abilities as their dad and let him do things his way when he is with them and I am not. The only problem I have is if I leave the house is clean but when I get home it is a total wreck. If only he was secure in his abilities to clean the house, everything would be great. LOL

My dad and mom split the work, and my dad did it just as well as my mom...although he tended to spoil my sister and me. Edit: I'm an 18 year old female, and I haven't got the slightest clue as to how to care for a child, let alone a baby. Just give me a kitten, and I'm good.

I personally don't think gender has anything to do about children's care. They only think that if they were raised in that environment so it's really a cycle.
