    I agree!! People will complain about gas prices, yet they don't seem to want to give up their vices... I get 11mpg at best in my car. I don't drink, smoke, use drugs, gamble, or go to "strip clubs." The money that most people spend on that, I use to fill my car up with 93 gas. Why? It's my hobby. Don't worry... When gas hits 5$ a gallon in the USA by July 4th, people will start complaining more. You'll slowly but surely see the strip clubs empty out. The downside is this... Since most electricity we use was generated using GAS, electricity will go up. Everything that requires transportation to get to the shelves (everything) will go up in prices too. Rent prices will go up as well. Basically, everything will get more and more expensive. People will lose their cars, homes, and families. Quite frankly, if they did not plan around this, they have nobody to blame but themselves. I see more people overextend themselves nowadays. People go out and buy a 500,000$ house and a 70,000$ vehicle and all sorts of toys here and there... After a few months they defaulted and their house is up for sale... Sad to say, but this country is doomed because people are their own worst enemies.

who is it that still has money? republicans that took it all(and GET the profit from the higher prices?) I had to give up my f*ing car! I EAT peanut butter and spam!! WHEN I'm lucky enough to AFFORD some store brand SPAM!! (oh you thionk i exagerate huh? The cost of living has DOUBLED in 3 yeatrs. My income has NOT. So, maybe you'd like to afford some of this affordable "pleasure" by enjoying the "PLEASURE" OF GIVING TO THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN MADE SO POOR BY THIS THAT THEY CANT GO OUT!

They just charge their life away, go into debt or collections and the regular folk pick up the burden for everyone elses problems. Works like a charm!

Well I don't drive and I usually only pay for food about once or twice a week. I have money but I spend it wisely, not on sleezly strip clubs and bars.

Food -- not yet, but I know it is coming. Gas -- yes. I've changed my driving habits and I do not run out on a whim anymore. Every trip is planned with the shortest possible route and I save up all the errands for one trip. I look for activities and entertainment that is within 20 miles of my home and try to car pool if possible. I am not going on several of the driving trips that I usually take each year. My 1 or 2 vacations will be within 2 hours of my house and will entail camping and staying at a friend's timeshare for free.

Yes I agree, I have heard of news being told that gas prices are still on the rise planning to hit more than $5.00 by the end of the summer, and now imagine Diesel fuel?? I think trains, buses and other public transportation are gonna be a must for the next couple of years. Without regards if nothing's fixed, I think we'r in for a little depression.!

Not in my house hold. I have a family of six and grocery bill went from $150.00 a week to $250 a week. It is really hurting the pocket book. As for gas prices to fill both vehicals up from E it costed $125.00
