How to make friends at middle school?

How do I make new friends in high school? I was really shy in elementary and middle school.?

Well you actually have to go up to them, and say hi. Start up a conversation with someone, and don't be afraid to talk to people. You having nothing to lose by talking to them.

well im in high school too and i had the same problem. The first thing you want to do is join a sport. I joined cheerleading! Try cheerleading. Trust me. you'll meet new girls and have more friends. Also join after school clubs. In class don't be so shy to say hheyy and just bring up any subject. when i joined the team i started to hang out with senior boys and stuff. and thenn more people in my grade were crazy to become friends with me.
