I want to buy a console for christmas which should I buy, PS3 or a Xbox 360?

I would get the Nintendo WII

lol some of these answers ok 360 is right now(not for long) they have halo3 gears of war, mass effect and much more they have good online and good games but PS3 is the future (soon) it has many games Little big planet mgs4 grand turismo 5 and ALOT more it also has FREE online unlike $6 a month for xbox ps3 comes with blu ray also instead of having to buy a hd dvd for 360 (another $200) also blu-ray is better also you have the ps1 and ps2 games wich u can play and the ps3 and u can buy some of the ones u dont have online i would definetly get PS3 and i dont know much of the wii so i didnt mention it

The Xbox so far has more games out for it and Xbox live is awesome. Xbox has great games out like halo3 Xbox also has had better success than the PS3. on the other hand PS3 does have Blu-Ray and free on-line gaming. it also does seem like PS3 has better graphics. The PlayStation series of consoles have been around longer and had much success. The Wii (even though you didn't ask) is the cheapest but it offers no upgrades. You are allowed to get off the sofa and perform activities with 4 other friend or you can sit down and use an original controller. The Wii has the worse graphics out of the 3 consoles. And to rap it up for the same amount of money you can buy a custom PC that has most of the same games. The PC would have more ram, processor power, video graphics and is able to be used for other stuff other than just games. PC have more control than the other 3 since you are able to use a mouse. PC has the most games and will always have the most games. Oh yeah lets not forget Mac they have uh....... I will get back to you on that. Wait i just remembered the best game they have is I-Life. You can get a Xbox 360 Elite for 449.99 and that includes 2 games right now.Forza Motorsports 2 and Marvel Ultimate Alliance.The achievements that you are talking about are great.They allow people to see what you have accomplished in your game. PS3 has a built in Blu-Ray which helps with larger games but to me at least Inst a issue as I use my system for gaming not movies.The system also has slightly better graphic abilities and come bundled with Motorstorm right now but if you want to use the system to play Ps2 games Sony has been talking about removing backwards compatibility from its PS3.It already has done that on the European 40 gig systems. This is not set in stone yet but something to keep in mind If you enjoy Multi Player the PS3 has PSN (Playstation Network) which is free.The xbox 360 has Xbox Live which is $50 a year but having both systems I have to say that I much prefer Xbox Live. The 360 has a large edge in the game department right now but thats only important to the type of games you want to play.If you like RPG's and FPS's then the 360 is the way to go The PS3 has a few good action titles..Uncharted and Warhawk being my favorites on that system. Honestly, it's all prefrence. They more or less have the same games and the same graphics. The people who scream OMG XBOX 360 IS THE BEST THING IN THE WORLD GET IT GET IT, are fanboys, and just say that because they prefer it. You should just check out the games and what suits you. If you like Halo, get the 360 of course. But the 80 gig PS3 will play all of your old games, so if I were you I'd go for the PS3, unless you're longing for Halo or something. Also, the PS3 has Blue-Ray if that interests you, and it has online capability as well, which 360 fanboys won't mention. They're both cool so good luck with whatever you get!

Xbox 360 Elite is only $449 with the 120gig HD. I would say its a better deal, for a number of reasons. Its easy to get online content. They have a great online community. Lots of items to customize it further. Great Game selection. It will only get better! I'm getting the Wii after the holidays when its available again.

Since you have playstation games u still wanna play um ps3? idk i went witrh 360 cause certain games that are coming out for xbox360 in 08.

If you want to play games now then get the 360... If you want to watch blu-ray movies for awhile while you wait for games get a ps3

Since you have exp. with PS games you should buy a PS3. Or you can try renting a Xbox360 and some games and try it out to see if you like it or not
