I pray the Rosary because It gives me time to ask God Mary, and Jesus things.

As a protestant I pray the Rosary. I use a somewhat different format, no hail Marys or Hail Holy Queen. Because: 1. It's a tactile form of prayer, a way of making my prayers feel more active. 2. The repetition and concentration become a form of Christian meditation. 3. It reminds me of the mysteries. 4.Instead of the Hail Holy Queen, I say St. Patrick's Lorica (or Breastplate) which invokes the protection of Christ for the day, reminds me that I am representing him to the people I meet and that he is in the people I meet and that nothing can separate me from the love of God.

Hmmm, In addition to the other answers (that are really good) It give me some quiet time for reflection and to take pause in a very busy world. It sets focus to the life of Jesus, and sets the focus of my life in a better direction as well. Looking forward to Eucharistic adoration today!

I pray the Rosary because it makes me feel really good inside. I feel I communicate with the Blessed Mother and Christ so much more fully through the Rosary. I have even received answers to my prayers through the Rosary. I wanted the baby and prayed really hard for one and she will be here very, very soon. My husband had cancer and the prognosis wasn't great and I prayed really, really hard for him and he was told he is cancer free and just 2 years later we conceived. I believe that through the Rosary these things have happened. I pray the Rosary because it makes me feel at peace, it is a nice "high" so to speak because it brings me such inner tranquility. I love the Mysteries all of them and I thank our Lady for giving them to us. With out the Rosary I wouldn't be half as faithful to the church as I am now. The Rosary helps me to keep the commandments and to go to Mass and participate in awe of the beautiful Ritual I see take place before me. I love the Rosary. It is an expression of Love to God for giving us His only Son and the most perfect Mother we could ever want. Why do I pray the Rosary, because it makes me happy. Love and God bless you, Kate

Defender, even St. Pio said the Rosary was a weapon against evil. Mary is very powerful, She has great pull when you need help from God. God allows Her this because She never said no to them when She walked on this earth. She is their ( the Trinity) Heart, their Rose, their beloved, their perfect human that was ever born. Our greatest example of perfection and what we should all be striving for. Mary is the one who is holding the arm of Jesus back from striking us down. By praying Her beads we are brought closer to Her Son, for the Rosary leads us to Jesus. Her purpose is to bring us ever closer to Most Holy and Blessed Trinity and it does just that. Praying the Rosary also make us aware of sin around us, so we can avoid the occasion of sin, it also makes us more pleasing to God. For we show the respect we have for Mary, His Daughter, His Spouse, His Mother and greatest Love. God bless you.

Believer, wife, mother & nana!

When I pray the Rosary I focus on the Mysteries and reflect on the life Christ lived as a source of encouragement for my own walk,it helps me remember all that Our Savior suffered for us and how grateful I am.I also intermittently reflect on Mother Marys role in the plan of Salvation and ask for her intercession with prayerful hope because I too recognize that Jesus never denied anything his mother asked of Him. Our life, our sweetness and our hope.... blessings and peace to you.

Because it is the Gospel of Jesus Christ In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost (Matt 28:19; cf. John 14:13-14; Acts 2:21) I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. On the third day he rose again. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sin, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Lev 5:5; Neh 1:5-9; Dan 9:3-19; James 5:16) Our Father, who art in heaven hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. (Matt 6:9-13; cf. Luke 11:2-4; Mark 14:36; Gal 4:6) Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. (Luke 2:14; cf. Rev 4:11; 5:11-14) O my Jesus, forgive us of our sins. Save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls into heaven, especially those in most need of thy mercy. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you. (Luke 1:28) Blessed art thou among women (Luke 1:41-42a,Luke 1:48), Blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus (Luke 1:42b) Holy Mary, Mother of God (Luke 1:43) Pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
